Who We Are

W@HB was founded in 2016 by a diverse group of women with backgrounds in health, law, business and finance. These women, who are all graduates of Federal Government College, Enugu, came together with the primary aim of using their expertise and capabilities to impact society.

Women world over have vibrant careers and are experts in various fields. A group of such women have come together to form the Woman at Her Best Organization (W@HB), a non-governmental organization with the primary aim of using their expertise and capabilities to impact the society through training, mentoring and support for girls, female undergraduates and females who are in incubation stages of their careers.

These women have backgrounds in the health, business, finance, legal, education and technology sectors and all together have an average of 12 years work experience which puts them in the viable innovative stage of their careers. These women have one thing in common, they are graduates of Federal Government College, Enugu (FGCE). Nigeria is currently facing several economic and developmental challenges. Females are further marginalized in any form of development support. 1 Some studies show that this challenge transverses geographic location and choice of career 2, 3. The overarching goal of W@HB is for women from the FGCE platform to strengthen the human resources in Nigeria thereby positively impacting the society. 4 stage. The organisation was set up informally on 14th August 2016 but registered to operate as an NGO in Nigeria in January 2017.
